One problem fixed.

The CPU problem is fixed. I pulled the heatsink off and figured out that the cpu was not seated in the socket properly. I was relieved that the pins were not bent from not having it seated right. So its a big relief that I did not wreck any hardware.

I got the pc back together and it booted properly. But now the NTLDR is missing, so now i have to fix that. I got a guide to troubleshoot it from an online source.

I am glad now that I got the cpu problem figured out, because I researched on the internet what is wrong with the PC and discouraged me to try and fix it.

Where did you go?

Good question where did I go.

The PC build did not go so good. The first time that I attempted to get the CPU on the mobo with the heatsink, I bent the pins on the CPU. So I had to buy another CPU and is the exact same one as before. I took me awhile to get it, with motivation and money after what happened before. So finally I did get around to trying my build again. This time I did get the mobo, CPU, and heatsink on good. Then I started to put the rest of my build together in the case the DVD drive, the video card, hard drive. I hooked all the power connections, the IDE connections on the right parts of the build. I went to turn it on through the power button on the case and there was nothing, but i remembered that the power supply switch was off, so i turned it on and then the computer started which should not happen. All what was running was the fans on the CPU, video card and the case fan, also I open the DVD drive through the button on the front. On the mobo there was a blue light that was on during the time it was running. I dont know what that means, is it on or failiure. I did not have any video visible on my monitors(actually it said cannot find signal). The video card is fine, because I have it running in my current desktop. And also the ram I put in works fine too on another pc. I dont know if maybe I wrecked the mobo or the cpu pins are bent again or when i cleaned the old thermal paste i didnt do it good enough and the cloth i used to wipe it off affected the connectivity, Or it could have been static that got in the mobo and wrecked it because I did have it on a rug floor in what I believed to be in a anti static bag. Sounds to like begininers luck for me.

I do have a test meter in my computer toolkit for testing continuity so I think try and see the mobo is damaged. I am going to try and find of this.

I will post those pics tomorrow of the build so you can see some of the progress I did do.

Here are the pics! Here
